This component aims to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of agro-silvo-pastoral and fisheries production systems, enabling small and medium-sized farms, particularly women and young people, to sustainably meet their food and nutritional needs and increase their income from the sale of surpluses on local and regional markets. This sub-component aims to strengthen regional agricultural research and advisory systems in order to generate sustainable technological innovations, including climate-smart technologies, integrating nutrition, gender and youth.

This sub-component aims to maintain and improve the natural capital base in the intervention areas to ensure the sustainability of productivity, sustainably improve the food security of rural households and their resilience to climate variability in the target areas.
